sooke pickleball group

Sooke, BC — May 2026 — The Sooke Pickleball Club is set to host the 2nd Annual Sooke Paddle Battle on May 23–24, 2026 at the SEAPARC Recreation Centre, bringing together over 250 players for a weekend of competition, community, and celebration of one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports.

Participants ranging in age from 12 to 79 years old will take to the courts, showcasing the inclusive and multigenerational appeal of pickleball. Athletes of all skill levels—from emerging players to highly competitive competitors—will compete in divisions spanning beginner to advanced play.

Tournament action begins at 8:00 AM each day, with men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, followed by mixed doubles on Sunday. The event promises a full schedule of exciting matches and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for players and spectators alike.

The Sooke Paddle Battle is proudly hosted by the Sooke Pickleball Club and organized by Court Crushers, a Sooke-based business specializing in professional pickleball tournament and event management.

Organizers would like to recognize and thank Cherish at Central Park retirement community, the tournament’s Platinum-level sponsor, for its generous support in helping make this community event possible.

“This event highlights everything that makes Sooke special—community connection, active living, and a welcoming spirit for all ages,” said organizers. “We are proud to see the tournament continue to grow and bring people together through sport.”

The tournament will be held at:
SEAPARC Recreation Centre
2169 Phillips Road, Sooke, BC

Spectators are encouraged to attend and enjoy high-quality matches in a fun, family-friendly environment. Admission is free.

The Sooke Paddle Battle continues to grow as a signature community event, promoting health, recreation, and social connection through sport.
