December 3, 2025 (Victoria, BC) – Vancouver Island’s Emma Knapp, Daren McLean, Danielle Wickens and Jakob Larsen are headed south to compete in The Dink Minor League Pickleball’s (MiLP) National Championships 2025, taking place from Dec. 3-7 at Pickler Universe in Dallas, Texas.
Hailing from Victoria, BC, the Banditos qualified for this upcoming tournament, and will be travelling to the States to represent Canada and Vancouver Island. The team is scheduled to play in the DUPR 18 division on Saturday and Sunday. Over 1,100 players from across the world will compete for a shot at the $100,000 prize purse.

The Dink Minor League Pickleball is a team competition, bringing together four players (two women and two men).
The format breaks teams into divisions based on their combined DUPR rating to compete against each other in four 21-point games (2 gendered, 2 mixed).
Tournament Format:
- Mixed Teams of 4 Players (2 Women & 2 Men)
- Guaranteed 6 Games with at Least 3 Matches
- Fair, Level-Based Competition
