Vancouver Island Pickleball and BC Pickleball Events announce partnership to improve access to Island and provincial events

Vancouver Island Pickleball (VIPB) and BC Pickleball Events have announced a collaboration to help make it easier for local Island players, and players across British Columbia to discover tournaments, community events, and opportunities to get involved in the sport.

BC Pickleball Events Website | Court Crushers Website

The collaboration came to fruition following Court Crushers founders Asaan and Fabian introduction of BC Pickleball Events, a new online platform designed to serve as a central hub for pickleball events throughout the province. The idea emerged from a common challenge in the community: event information is often scattered across club websites, Facebook groups, and regional organizations, making it difficult for players to keep track of what’s happening.

BC Pickleball Events aims to solve that problem by creating a simple, accessible place where organizers can submit tournaments, charity fundraisers, and community events. The platform focuses on improving visibility for clubs and helping players plan their seasons more easily.

VIPB, which began as a local court-listing resource, before evolving into a broader community platform, immediately saw the value in the initiative. The organizations quickly began discussing ways to collaborate, recognizing that their goals closely aligned.

As part of the new partnership, Vancouver Island Pickleball will feature BC Pickleball Events within its website resources and promote the platform through its community channels. Court Crushers will highlight VIPB on the BC Pickleball Events site, creating a shared network that connects players with both local and provincial resources.

Both groups emphasized that the collaboration is rooted in the same philosophy of supporting the growing pickleball community by improving access to information and creating stronger connections between players, clubs, and organizers.

For VIPBl, the partnership reflects the same mission that has guided the platform since its creation, making it easier for players to find places to play, people to connect with, and events to enjoy.

With the new partnership in place, both organizations hope the collaboration will help players across British Columbia spend less time searching for events and more time on the court.
