Description: Sooke Pickleball
Sooke Pickleball is a dedicated and active group of all ages and abilities who love the sport, have had lessons, and offer beginner workshops from Spring through Summer from the group’s valued volunteers and occasional pro coaching clinics. Membership is free, subsidized by grants and donations.
Sooke Pickleball fundraises through sale of graphic t-shirts, and occasional events which are sponsored by local businesses and Courtside Sports in Victoria, where they’ll help you select the perfect paddle.
Year round the group plays at four all-weather courts on Throup Road, which is managed for the Sooke Community Association.
In 2021 the group raised over $60k to save and resurface the degrading 30 year old asphalt tennis courts, adding three new courts over the front court and creating a combo tennis/Pickleball court at the rear.
