Welcome to Shangri-Law Pickleball’s newest coach: Amy Woermke

Shangri-Law Pickleball is excited to welcome Amy Woermke to our coaching team!

Amy first came to Shangri-Law as a student in September 2025, with a clear goal: sharpen her game and build towards the 4.0 level. Through dedicated training, and a strong commitment to improving her skills and strategy, Amy quickly turned that goal into results on the court.

Since training with Shangri-Law, Amy has achieved standout competitive success, including:

  • Gold (Women’s Doubles 3.5) — Forget-Me-Not Charity Tournament (October 2025)
  • Champions (Women’s Super League, Division 1 – Female Doubles) — Victoria Pickleball Centre (VPC)
  • Champions (Master League Pickleball – MLP, Division 1) — Victoria Pickleball Centre (VPC)
  • Gold (Mixed Doubles 4.0) — Cowichan Valley Winter Rally (January 2026)


Inspired by her own growth and success, Amy is now passionate about helping other players build confidence, consistency, and smart doubles habits—so they can reach their full potential faster and enjoy the game more.

Amy is a Pickleball Canada Level 1 Certified Coach and brings coaching experience through the Victoria Regional Pickleball Association (VRPA) Activating Youth Program. She has also taught pickleball coaching clinics in Palm Springs, California, and has been training with the Shangri-Law team to deliver a positive, structured learning experience for players of all levels.

Amy is launching two programs in partnership with Panorama this April, with more programs to follow:

  • Level 1: Introduction to Pickleball
  • Pickleball Doubles Tactics
