What is a financial advisor?

The term “financial advisor” means different things to different people, which makes sense because different people with financial advisors get different things. Most would say something like ‘a person who manages money’ or ‘a person who offers investment advice’.

To me that’s like a pickleball player who has a forehand drive and no other shots.

As a financial advisor at Raymond James, I help clients formulate and achieve their vision of the future with the help of many specialists. My job is to ask questions, listen, work with other professionals, craft solutions, and continuously monitor the financial plan as life changes.

What I love about the job is learning what truly matters for clients and then helping them use their wealth to find meaning in life.

• Where can you make an impact?

• What type of legacy do you want to leave to your family and community?

• What areas of your life need further exploration?

I’ve summed up the idea in the term 5.0 Advisor. Pickleball players know a 5.0 player has more shots than just a forehand drive, and a 5.0 Advisor has a larger role than a person who manages money. I look forward to showing you what the term “financial advisor” means to me.
