Comox Valley pickleball tournament crowns champions

January 22, 2026

The weekend of January 17-18, 2026 saw champions being crowned in the Comox Valley following a six-week, Major League Pickleball-style tournament. The tournament featured the region’s top talent and multiple teams competing for prizes from several generous sponsors.

“Everything went off without a hitch,” stated tournament director, Barry Hyslop. “The players really enjoyed the format and the competition was fierce, with all the best players from our neck of the woods.”

“Congratulations to the team champions,” added Hyslop. “Over six weeks, these teams tested their grit. The winners took home generous rewards from Luzz Pickleball, Pickleball Depot, and Vegain Supplements.”

Results:

Gold: Bill Kelly, Jane Morris, Jay Ertezuk, Lissy Rauber, Moira Ashlee
Silver: Abel and Amanda O’Brennan, Marina Mahabir, Brandon Reymerink.
Bronze: Ben Wyatt, Jenny Aronson, Joe Mantha, Barb Meihuizen.
