Cowichan Valley Winter Rally pickleball tournament building on momentum from inaugural Fall Ball

North Cowichan Pickleball Club is getting set to host its second pickleball tournament in the Cowichan Valley, following a successful ‘Fall Ball’ tournament, January 17-18, 2026.

Tournament Director, Pat Poczobut, says the Queen Margaret’s School (QMS) Sports Hall venue has shifted from a last-minute option for the Club’s first tournament into an ideal location for winter play.

“We are happy to continue to assist in developing QMS’s Sports Hall as an ideal indoor pickleball facility, where options are limited in the Duncan area,” said Poczobut. “On the 17-18th, we’ll debut the brand new, permanent pickleball lines that will be painted over the winter break, along with the brand new, high-quality pickleball nets that QMS has purchased with the help of our donations from the first tournament.”

A portion of the proceeds from this tournament will be donated to the Queen Margaret’s School to further fund the development of their pickleball programming.
