Sooke Hosts Its First-Ever Regional Pickleball Tournament

Sooke, BC – The Sooke Pickleball Club is proud to host the inaugural Sooke Paddle
Battle, taking place May 3–4, 2025, at the SEAPARC Leisure Complex.

This first-time event has drawn strong interest from players across Vancouver Island
and beyond, with registration now completely full. Over the course of the weekend, six
courts will welcome competitors in Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s
Doubles, across skill levels from 3.0 to Open.

“This tournament is about more than just pickleball,” says Tournament Director Asaan
Maherali. “It’s a celebration of Sooke’s growing pickleball community and an opportunity
to showcase how vibrant and welcoming our town is to players of all backgrounds.”

Tournament play begins at 8:00 AM each day, running through to approximately 8:00
PM. Spectators are welcome to stop by throughout the weekend to catch the action,
support local athletes, and experience the excitement of one of Canada’s fastest-
growing sports.

SEAPARC Leisure Complex – 2168 Phillips Rd, Sooke, BC
May 3–4, 2025
8:00 AM to ~8:00 PM daily
Spectators welcome – free admission
